    especially during Covid,the cashiers should be cleaning the belts after each customer. PriceChopper does! It amazes me that they give you your receipt in a plastic container, but yet touch money. There are are not enough cashiers to cash out, the line is slow and long. May I add, your Rewards system is useless and not customer friendly. Use Target or PriceChopper’s Reward system as a model

    I realize these are trying times, but your Topsham ME store is a disgrace. Open on time, but with shelves so bare you could not even find a leftover in the fruits and vegetables. Why you can’t hire more help to come in an stock shelves before you open says cheap profiteer to me. Also, face masks are suppose to be worn by Mainers when in public. Many in the store, especially those under 30, did not wear one nad when asked about it I was told to F off. This is not the first time physical distancing and/or masks has not happened. I guess I will go to Shaws or Whole Foods next month,

    Although I understand the difficulties in maintaining inventory on certain items and the need to restrict the number of certain items there is a drawback to a blanket policy. I am an eithy year old with a disability and feel that less trips to the grocery store also lessens my chances of getting COVID 19. I was fortunate yesterday to find toilet paper on the shelf, I put two packages (eight rolls) in my cart. There was also butter in the case which I took two unsalted for myself and two salted for my wife. These were what I would consider a normal purchase for our need, not overstocking or hoarding. When I went to check out I was told that there was a limit on the two items mentioned. By limiting what I think to be a reasonable amount of product I will now need to return to the store much sooner than had I been allowed to purchase the items as chosen. In my way of thinking your restrictions place me and my wife in a position of extra exposure to the virus which could mean serious consequences for us both. On the plus side your employees are putting their health on the line and still doing a terrific job with, in some cases, very little to work with.

    I was at the W. Lebanon store this am. Appreciate your efforts to make shopping safe, however, I handed the clerk a $1.50 coupon for the purchase of Green Mtn K-cups coffee and she did not enter it to give me the discount. It was hectic with numerous bags etc. so I didn’t notice, but I did buy 2 boxes to qualify for the discount and I did hand the coupon directly to her so I’m disappointed.

    I live in Winthrop, Maine and I just got back from a grocery shopping trip to my local Hannaford store. Every day, but especially during these times of empty shelves and anxious customers, the employees have been terrific. They still smile even when the lines are long and some people are not happy; they are helpful even if they have been up for a long time getting ready for customers; I think they are amazing. Keep up the good work!!

    I have an option of shopping at 4 different supermarkets within a 4 mile radius.
    I always prefer Hannafords as my top choice.
    The store is bright and clean with employees that appear cheerful and happy.
    The selection and options far surpass any of the others. The produce is the best and even my granddaughter who is 8 years old remarked about how “beautiful” (her word ) the produce department is.
    When I have been unable to find a product and have had to ask for help I am met with a pleasant attitude and the staff are always helpful.
    It is a pleasure to shop at Hannafords and will always be my preference.

    I am a Senior citizen who has difficulty ambulating and carrying my groceries. I always appreciate the offer of assistance from the check out staff. I would like to suggest OSSIPEE HANNAFORD offer someone on staff do my shopping for me and carry it out. Then I will only have to carry the bags in or haul them in with my Garden Way cart. It will still be difficult but more than half of the chore will be done by your staff. I do not mind paying a small charge for the above service. I know your competitor offers this at their Walmart stores but I will not support them as they are the MOST WEALTHY FAMILY IN AMERICA AND DO NOT SUPPORT THEIR WORKERS with a living wage!

    I went into the store two times in the last two weeks and the store has been clean the employees have been very awesome but two employees especially when out of the way to help me find stuff when was Steve from the meat department and the other one was Nate from The Fish Department they were excellent service and I just wanted to let you know how well they told me about their products different Meats different fishes and I was really really impressed and how they come out and help me I will definitely stay as a shopper and your store I have a family of 7 so I basically live at the grocery store and it was nice to have somebody come out and tell me about different products and how different things I can do no help me save money and it was really nice at the store kid more about the person than they did about making money I’m definitely going to make sure that my whole family shops at your store just because of these two employees again thank you very much I rate this store 100

    Lincoln Hannaford is very unsafe …parking lot is extremely dark..very poorly lit and the front entrance of the store is also very poorly lit..hard to see were icy patches are…feels unsafe when entering or going back to your car… several of my friends have also commented on the darkness too….there haven’t been any comments cards out …miss the service desk…

    Very disappointed that you discontinued the Seafood Chowder in your soup offerings.

    i’m writing about your HANNAFORD STORE (IN BANGOR, ON BROADWAY…I WENT IN TO GET A SALAD FROM YOUR SALAD BAR…THE NEW SALAD BAR IS VERY LOW AND DEEP IN DEPTH , WITH GLASS COVERING IT…ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN AT THE INGREDIENTS…IF YOU TRY TO GET SOMETHING TO EAT . YOU WILL HAVE TO REALLY STRETCH AND BEND TO GET WHAT YOU’RE AFTER….ALSO THE GRIPPERS THAT ARE PLACED THERE TO HELP YOU PICK UP THE FOOD ITEMS THAT YOU WANT IN YOUR SALAD DO NOT HAVE A GOOD GRIP AT THE HANDLE…YOU SHOULD CHECK THEM OUT AS WELL…ALSO YOUR FAST FOOD BAR IS THE SAME AS THE SALAD…HARD TO GET AT….HOPEFULLY YOU WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SOON!!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME….

    “Fresh” vegetables are horrible. They did not even last 3 days after my weekend shopping. Prices to high; quality not worth the price. Fruits are stocked near front entry which is crazy as the weather will effect them. Their shelves are always half empty and trying to get somebody to stock what you need is impossible. Even checkout clerks dont seem to know what they are doing. I am discovering convenience of location not worth it. Going back to Shaw’s.

    We have shopped Hannafords for many years. I love how clean the stores are,how most associates go beyond great service kindness, and the produce dept is always fresh and well stocked. I love how the wine dept is displayed and is easy to locate the wines we buy! Oh and the store always smells delicious.

    I have found that you cannot visit Hannaford in the morning hours as you cannot get proper service. Check outs are minimal. When questioning an assistant, I was informed that Corporate only allows just a few checkers in the morning hours saving the larger number of employees for busier hours in the afternoon. This is all well and good if you shop in the afternoon but I do not and what should take me ten minutes drags on to twenty and twenty-five minutes. Great store, people and produce, etc., but this decision is not one of your best choices.

    Everything is fresh in the produce dept. The Associates are alway working to make the produces looking great. When going into the Baking Dept.the smell is so delicious it helps make the shopping more enjoyable

    I love going to our Hannafords . I am fortunate I have two near me so either way Ichoose to go I can stop. Everything is always fresh and clean. I have done special meat orders and been very pleased.

    Love going shopping for all my grocery needs. The store is clean and everyone is very friendly. They always willing to help with my questions. Especially love the new makeover as it so much more roomy and well thought out.

    First time at Hannaford, and I found many things not seen at other groceries which I loved. It was well organized and I found what I wanted quickly. I’ll be back.

    There was a problem filling my prescription, compounded by a power outage that knocked out our phone. By the time KATIE McCormack was able to contact me the pharmacy was closing. She offered to stay late so I could come and pick it up. The Valatie NY Hannaford always seems like a friendly neighborhood store, but she definitely went above and beyond. I can’t thank her enough!

    I had a clueless coupon for Poise psds, 23-66. I bought a package of the 45 count and should have received $3.00 off. The coupon was good til today but I never got the discount.

    Pharmacy excellent. All are very helpful,intelligent and well informed. Pharmacists remember you which makes talking to them so Personal. Would not like to see this pharmacy close.

    Produce often wilted the day following purchase. My favorite ice cream often out of stock. Can rarely find frozen lima beans. Frozen veggies seem to move around so that they cannot be found. My Clynk card bit the dust and Hannaford’s couldn’t fix it; I have to call another place. Mixed nuts in the natural foods/bulk section often either empty or stale. Most clerks are pleasant, some very much so. Store is bright, clean and pleasant with good food choices. If management were smart, they’d install a comments box. But are they smart?

    I’ve been shopping at Hannaford’s before it was Hannaford’s. When it was Shop ‘n Save. And I’ve never been sorry. Fair, clean, good employee’s, good service, friendly service. I recommend it to all of my friends.

    I like shipping at Hannaford’s but I hate their rewards program. I am part of the rewards program but I do not like the fact that you have to punch in your phone number every time you buy something. You know how easy it is to miss enter the number and on top of that if the clerk doesn’t press the right key before you spend all your time entering the stupid number in doesn’t go through. I have had it happen to me several times. I get home and look at the receipt and see there is no information of rewards status. The rewards program is a great idea it’s just that Hannaford goes about it all wrong. I’ve complained about this over and over again. Why don’t they just issue a card like all the other stores do so all you got to do is swipe it. Come on guys stop living in the dark ages!!

    Just tried the online order site to order my groceries as my legs are bad so don’t like walking around the store looking for stuff. I am a senior and the site was easy to order on last night. This morning I went to get it and was pleasantly surprised how wonderful the pick up was. I went in and the line was short and quick-I arrived at the store at 12:10 and I was our of there in my car by 12:20. My things were all bagged in sturdy brown bags with handles packed in a cart waiting for me with a nice gentleman who took them out for me and put them in the car. On arriving home they were all there and breakables were wrapped in smaller bags and put in the bigger bag to prevent breakage. Good Job Hannaford!! I definitely will do again- makes life so much easier for me!

    We love this store. It is not too big, but certainly not too small. Clerks are always helpful and friendly. Aisles are clear and clean. Someoneus nearly always in the parking lot gathering carts, and always saying hello and offering a hand if you need it. I thought Publix, in SC where we lived before coming north, the best market ever. Hannaford is right up there with them.
