About El Fenix 
El Fenix started nearly a century ago and grows to be a Mexican restaurant chain in Texas and Oklahoma. It is known for its brand of “Tex-Mex cuisine” and the Wednesday “Enchilada Dinner Special”. The name is Spanish for “the phoenix”.

    Goldie was attentive and very sweet. Our drinks were refilled every time they were half empty and our food came out quickly. We will definitely be coming back to see her! Great service

    4/15/17 I took my wife to store #13. I let the cashier know that they might want to let someone know that my chimichanga taste like the oil it was fried in was old or got to done and it wasn’t very good. This is one of my favorite meals at your restaurant . I was a little disappointed that the manager could but it would be 15 minutes if I wanted to wait. I told her never mind. I will just find another restaurant to eat at.

    I have been meaning to write this for 20+ years. My family started eating at El Fenix in 1968 as a kid and did so at least once a week. In the 1980’s you changed your salsa from a thin spicy salsa to a thicker not at all spicy salsa and your chips from fried to baked. At this time you lost your core customer (me and allot of my friends who still live in The area). We would love to still frequent El Fenix as this was our comfort food growing up. You should at least offer this salsa as an option and let me know so that I can spread the word. Friends and I used to also buy the gallon cans of your salsa regularly. Thanks, a long lost core customer who would like to come back.

    We went to the Mckinney restraunt on Friday Dec. 30 2016. We arrived around 5:15 we got seated after about 20 min. And there was plenty of open tables. We were a party of 5. The absolute worse waitress I’ve ever had. She was doped up could barely talk/walk. All of our food came out cold and about 5 min apart. We refilled our own tea/water glasses.When we said something to the waitress she didn’t see a problem and ultimately told us to F&@$ off!! Pretty sure we will not be revisiting that restraunt!! I’m sure a big corporation could care less but if you don’t know it’s broke you can’t fix it.
