Star Market is a retail grocery chain owned by Albertsons, the same company that also operates Shaw’s. Star Market was acquired in 1999 and is a companion store to Shaw’s. This acquisition made Shaw’s the 2nd-largest supermarket company in New England. There are in total 10 Star Market stores across the nation.

    I had the worst experience ever at Star Market Newtonville MA because of Denise. She was rude, incompetent, slow and downright nasty. She even suggested that things would go a lot faster if I packed my own groceries. I still can’t believe it.

    Was unable to add name and email. Usually good service. Unfortunately. Accidently left without getting $$ I had requested on top of paying for my groceries. Called back to store and informed i need to wait until tomorrow when all cashiers check out. I called back within 20mins. Couldve just checked in with cashier. I dont drive so this is inconvenient, however I am still expecting good outcome as usually vey good and polite customer service at this store.

    I live in Newtonville but wrk in auburndale this is the Star market that I have now switched to. The Store it self since it’s makeover is not only pleasing to the eye. It is also very easy to locate the products your looking to buy! I always look forward to my wkly shopping experience here. If ever I do have a question everyone in the store is friendly and helpful!
    I especially love visiting Maria in the flower department. She’s not only just amazing in her skills at making beautiful flower arrangements.
    She always friendly and goes the extra mile as she remembers who I generally tend to buy wkly flowers for. Always asking how my grandmother is doing remembering which flowers I got for my grandmother the week prior and making suggestions of others that might be nice to try that wk! The fact that she remembers me and who I buy flowers for. Really speaks to her character and that with all the customers that she has is a really nice feeling that she takes the time to remember all that!

    I just want to take the time and say I love shopping at the Star Market on Lexington street in Waltham, Massachusetts. Roberta the store Manager is absolutely wonderful. She’s always smiling, and ready to help. As frustrating it is to deal with customers on a daily basis she handles it very well. She is very professional. She’s wonderful! Also Rita at customer service is absolutely wonderful.

    The Porter square branch is always severely understaffed during evening hours. Currently there are two registers open with lines of 8-10 people each.

    I cannot fill out the survey on my iPhone and don’t have a computer. When I click on survey link 1 it says “thank you for taking the survey” which I wasn’t able to, do I will forget it. I give it a 5 rating! Too expensive in BOSTON since welfare people get a free debit card to use,

    The store I often go to for lunch is great (Store: 7576, Boston 02215) except one thing: complete lack of info in the a la carte section. At a minimum please provide naming for each dish/food item (what kind of meat/fish/sauce/vegetable/etc, is it baked/fried/sauteed/steamed/etc) and at a maximum list main ingredients for those with allergies/hypersensitivities (think about gluten intolerant or hating a specific spice, or Pesto or Alfredo sauce). Thanks!

    I was this Saturday ( The last Saturday of July at Starmarket near JFK UMASS and I went to Thd cash register #10 at 11:50 am. And that person did a great job !

    This employee did not do anything for me , But I was very impressed with what this cashier did for a shopper behind me !

    Nidia was awesome!! She gave wonderful customer service in the floral department and gave great suggestions as well as helping out with anything I needed. Ekta and Bobby were also great ! You have very welcoming and helpful employees.

    NONE!!!!!! EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. Barbara at the customer desk, Josh, Jack and Neil
    ( Store Director ) were amazing. I came in contact with Donna ( Manager ) and she was extremely supportive as well. This store in Chestnut Hill is by far the cleanest, well stocked and the most reasonably priced supermarket around. HOSPITALITY is everything and you have it!!!! THANK YOU!

    Hi there. I wanted to personally thank a star/shaws employee for excellent service. Her name is Linda Lambert and she is a floral designer/employee. She went out of her way to help me design and set up a bouquet. She was friendly-quick about her business-and very very helpful to me on a very busy day. She’s a keeper!! Thank you.
