USPS Customer Experience Feedback Survey

About USPS
The United States Postal Service (USPS), also known as the Post Office and U.S. Mail, is an independent agency of the United States government in charge of providing postal service in the United States. The USPS has exclusive access to letter boxes marked “U.S. Mail” and personal letterboxes in the United States, but still competes against private package delivery services, such as UPS and FedEx.

I am not complaining about the services at the Post Office itself. I sent a regular envelope with no tracking number on Thursday, October 10. It had a US address. Today, Wednesday, October 16, the recipient has not yet received the envelope. Your service really stinks. I am aware that Monday, October 14 was Columbus Day but does is really have to take ONE WEEK TO DELIVER AN ENVELOPE?

USPS services stink. ALWAYS RUDE both home delivery carriers and S.L.O.W. as molasses counter staff. Totally indignent to their role as public servants. Overpriced products. My carrier cannot even deposit the correct mail into the correct recipient’s mailbox.

Always a pleasure to come to this PO. Extremely busy PO, however, the workers, Lisa, Louis, Jeff are always expeditiously working to accommodate the lines, very helpful, pleasant, and kind people.

A pleasant friendly attitude is a must! Sour faces / attitudes do not help USPS. Overall the people are okay but not as friendly as they could be. Their service is okay too.

The people that work with us are very nice and helpful. It is the program systems that need the work with it is comes to the out going mail. Pam and Mr. Barry in the Church Street office are so nice. They help when they can, but the training for the employees is something to be desired. The ladies in the Sanston office around Richmond Virginia help as much as possible but the training or acceptability to the compute system is not given to those who work with the customers. They are very nice as well.

The clerk, I think her name is Amy, at the post office facility at 144th Place in Orland Park was so helpful when I needed to ship a package with a prepaid label. I actually had two different packages with the same prepaid label and I didn’t realize it. I am so glad she told me, otherwise one package would have been sent to the facility with postage due. She was so friendly and professional! She is definitely an asset to the post office. I am leaving this comment because I was unable to navigate the survey site.

The clerks at Dellslow post office are very professional and knowledgeable. They are helpful with their questions, trying to find the best way for you to mail a pkg. they are 2 women. One is named Kim. They are cordial as well. Trying to do your survey is very difficult to navigate. So I am just leaving a comment.

I went to the Post Office to buy stamps. Service was fantastic! Clerk was very friendly and very cordial. I am a big believer in the USPS, as my husband was a letter carrier for 31 years.
    Keep up the good work!

Moved here a year ago from zip 77379. Service in new zip, 77356, fr exceeds the service we received in the old location. The mail here is received more promptly now and packages are brought to the door, not left alongside or on top if the mailbox. Service when going to the Post office is great. Fast courteous and friendly. A new experience! I would rate the service as excellent.

Mailed a package using the USPS that had an expected delivery date of 5/31, on 6/1 the system said it was delivered but when you clicked on it it said it was being held at the post office due to the receivers request. The receiver made no such request, the sender made no such request. In my opinion the driver was to lazy to drive down the driveway and deliver it. Now my daughter has to stop I. Her way home from work on Monday and pick up the package, m-next time it’s UPS for me, no wonder the post office is losing money. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE,

I have been going to the Hudson PO for a long time. Every time I go I get great service. When the line gets too long, a third person comes out and helps. On busy days there is a person standing on the other side of the divider asking questions like, “Are you just dropping off” or anything they can help you with before you make to the counter.

In the last 5 years we, my Mother in law and I, have had 3 items come up missing. Until this past week the most notable was my brother in laws Christmas package from his mom , coming from Michigan. It took her over a week for someone to “find it”. It was opened, rummaged through and had items missing. I know personally just how awesome her Christmas candy is but to steal it…really. My Niece, daughter of above mentioned brother in law, had her birthday card and the money in it go missing twice…Their mail came through the Garrett st, Tulsa, Ok post office. My MIL won’t send stuff through the mail anymore. April 19, 2019 I sent her a birthday card from the Broken Arrow office on Kenosha ave , Oklahoma…it was in one of your padded blue striped envelopes…I was trusting it to arrive at my mother in laws… I went in to the same location Friday, April 26 because the tracking number showed it was sent to Tulsa and thats all the information listed, I was told to give it the weekend…well today, April 29 it now says ” Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility.” which basically MEANS NOTHING. If I am out the heart felt birthday card being sent to my 70 yr old mother, the sweetest woman on the planet, not to mention the gift card inside it , I will be extremely unhappy. Tulsa really needs to get a handle on it’s thieving, worthless employees!!

The service at River Oaks PO, 1900 West Gray, Houston 77019 is good and has improved markedly over the past several years. The facility maintenance has taken an upturn, the service providers are friendly, patient and helpful, and at times of heavy usage there is a facilitator to keep lines moving and to assist with package preparation ahead of going to counter.

This is the person that sent a single CD from Vilonia, AR to Joplin, MO. Since I paid for nonmachinable and the CD arrived broke in half, I suggest all post offices Stamp the package five times on the front and five times on the back. No subsequent post offices apparently can’t read so multiple stamps of fragile should be stamped, not just two. I paid for extra and I got less detail than if I would have sent it in a better envelope broke in half to start with. My tracking number was 9500112023869106356109. Now would you not think will all those numbers and fragile stamped on it that someone with a pair of eyeballs would haveactually looked at it and seen fragile and not ran it through a machine since I paid extra for that. hey sould have seeb fragile and not run my package through a machine like I paid for. I sent it in a bubble wrapped 6×9 envelope like I was instructed.I wish theywould have actually took time to read that my package envelope said fragile and not run through a machine. Maybe people who work for the post office cannot read. Maybe they don’t carebecause they cannot be fired. Maybe they all should be replaced with people who do their job like, they might be fired like other jobs., instead of job protection. We need to change the whole system, where they can be fired instead of government protection.

Here’s my tracking number: 9500112023869105135708. My music CDD was broke in half upon delivery, even though it was paid extra for non machinable package. You want to know what is wrong? Too many people handling my package with the attitude I am a civil service employee and I can’t be fired. That is what sets the US postal service aside from any other job. Change the system and you get the same quality as any other type of job. Get rid of that bull and the us postal service can compete with other jobs by quality and work performance. Otherwise we are all doomed to attitude, I can’t be fired. Never again will I send anything through the post office.

    says:

As a result of tracking number 9500112023869105135708 and sending a music CD in a 6×9 bubble envelope, and it arrived busted in half, I would not advice sending a music CD through the post office even with fragile stamps unless you put it in the middle of 6 foot by 6 foot foam rubber and I mean 6 feet by 6 feet since they do not understand “the word fragile” even since I paid for unmachinable mail. If you want the heartache I have had go ahead and give the us post office a chance. As far as for me, I think the US postal service and all the “employees” couldn’t even keep a job at McDonald’s hamburgers. No Wonder people have the idea to replace the “us govt. postal service with a civilian enity. They all should be fired as they do not do their job like other private busineses do and have the responsibility to provide excellent service and reponsiblity for their actions at work.

    says:

If you want to send one thin music CD through the us mail, you should pack it in a foam rubber with a slot in the middle. The us postal service does not read or listen to their own fragile stamps. Beware that is why they will eventually go out of business and be replaced with a civilian entity.

I mailed a music CD according to the way the postal service requires but it arrived broken in half. It was in a bubble wrap envelope and was supposed to be non machine handled. Don’t expect any money back, etc., as I had no insurance. Just wanted to inform you as to the problems so you can avoid this in the future. Thank You

I just wanted to commend the Catharpin, VA post office. The employees are always so friendly and eager to assist with all your postal needs. They only have two employees and they are fantastic. Tara has helped me on numerous occasions and even suggests ways to more efficiently send a package than I may be aware of. I don’t know the other lady’s name, but she is also very helpful! Thank you for this efficiently staffed gem!

Postal service at 33193 in Miami, FL is abysmal. There is no regular carrier on this route, and usually we just get presorted mail. Bills have gone missing, documents too, and no matter how many times we call the local branch, nothing gets done. A timed survey was done years ago, and a carrier who wanted to make good cleared the route in record time. Now she’s gone and no one else will bid for it. There is no way USPS can compete in multiple information-sharing markets with such awful customer service. Perhaps it’s time to retire the postal service and let other carriers get the job done properly.

This is a total waste of public service and tax dollars. The manager was totally disrespectful and telling me I asked for a book of stamps when I clearly did not. Then telling me I need to fill out a certified application for a letter. Why ?? Lazy and incompetent government workers. I wouldn’t be so ticked, but I was sending a check to the IRS and received the worst government service in this Castleton location.
